“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
II Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV
So many things in this verse...
What jumps out at you?
I love how GODs word gives us the roadmap of what we can use his word for... but we have to know it to use it!
"That the man of GOD may be complete..."
This part of the verse is mind-blowing
The word complete...in Greek expertizo
It's a verb (action word)
to complete, finish
1 to furnish perfectly
2 to finish, accomplish, (as it were, to render the days complete)
I love the #1 definition, to furnish perfectly...
GODS word gives us everything we need, we often in times feel like the world or the next shiny object will bring that completeness, maybe even a person, but it is the book or app that you have of GOD's word that will bring that completeness
What do you have in your life today that you are struggling with thinking and believing the false lie that it will complete you?
Are you willing to let that go, and fill that space with the completeness of GOD?
Men we are on a journey of sanctification "the process to make Holy"
By simple definition, it is not overnight but rather a process!
A loving poke from one who needs to be poked me!
