Ten words of power!!
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13 NKJV
https://www.bible.com/114/php.4.13.nkjv
Philippians 4:13 is a verse that is referenced a ton, it's a great bumper sticker verse. And an awesome memory verse.
But how many of us believe this? And truly put this into practice. We can say it and reference it, but can we live it?
This idea of "I Can Do" is all over media, "be the best you," "you got this," But do we really "got this?"
I can do - Greek word ischyo Verb
to be strong
to be strong in body, to be robust, to be in sound health
to have power
to have power as shown by extraordinary deeds
to exert, wield power, to have the strength to overcome
to be a force, avail
to be serviceable
to be able, can
In this truth statement Phil 4:13, there is a condition, maybe we missed that part (re-read the verse) we can't do it all, shocker, I know.
I don't gamble much anymore, but I would be willing to bet that someone reading this thinks either they have to do it all or are trying to do it all. (pay up, Lol because I am writing and reading this, and at times I struggle with this)
THROUGH (this is a preposition)
in, by, with, etc.
Christ
It is through Christ we can do Everything!
Strengthen endynamoo
to be strong, endue with strength, strengthen
to receive strength, be strengthened, increase in strength
in a bad sense
be bold, headstrong
How many of us struggle with the #3 meaning.
What are you trying to do?
Where do you need to allow Christ to strengthen you?
